The Mini Brick Tree
The Mini Brick Tree has been developed as a ‘starter scene’ upon which other bricks can be added as part of a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® icebreaker or check-in activity with an individual or group/team.
How it works
Each builder is provided with the parts to build ‘The Mini Brick Tree’ along with a number of additional LEGO® bricks. These additional bricks are used by the builder to create a scene that expresses how they are ‘arriving’ at the session/event. The scene could use the tree or ignore it – it is completely up to the builder as to how the bricks are utilised.
Once the scene has been created, the builder would be given the opportunity to present their model. They should describe the scene that they have created, explaining the significance and meaning behind their creation, exploring their thoughts, ideas, feelings and/or emotions.
This may lead to reflective discussion, encouraging the builder(s) to explore the insights gained from the model through insightful questioning.
The model could be amended or re-built during or at the end of the session/event to express how the builder’s perspective has changed, or how they are leaving or checking out.
Where to get The Mini Brick Tree
The Mini Brick Tree is a custom set that has beed designed and is distributed by Enigma Coaching. It is available as a ‘mini acorn’ starter set, or as a ‘mini woodland’ that includes ten Mini Brick Trees.

What is included in each set?
The ‘Mini Acorn’ is a single set that includes one Mini Brick Tree that can be used at an individual level, i.e. in a personal coaching session.
A ‘Mini Woodland’ contains ten Mini Brick Tree sets that can be used in group/team meetings, training or coaching sessions.
Each set includes:-
- All the bricks needed to build The Mini Brick Tree
- Instructions how to build The Mini Brick Tree
- Additional bricks to create your scene
We only use new official LEGO® bricks in our custom sets. Please be aware that some colours may change depending upon the availability of bricks, for example the flowers, leaf and base plate may vary in colour.
